I’m honestly not quite sure what to say about this one. It was well made in a cinematographic sense, looking good and sounding even better, but I don’t get who thought it was a good idea to make a love story about a 15-year-old and a 20-something, even if the teen is annoying beyond his age and the woman so immature she might as well be ten years younger. Watching them ride off happily into the sunset just felt slightly icky.
Difficult topic, great execution. Does not have a structure one would expect of most movies and is more a sequence of slice of life stories. If watched with the right expectations great fun but is not for everyone. My brother, a cis white dude (I’m sorry, but it’s true)
